Best Queso in Nashville

What’s cheesy, delicious and creates traffic jams at the dinner table (see below)? QUESO. The crowned jewel of any Mexican meal. It’s definitely not something we take lightly here in Music City. We recently rounded up the Best Mexican Restaurants in Nashville but today we’re taking things one step further with the Best Bowls of Queso around town.

1. Taqueria del Sol

If you’re looking for some addictive white cheese dip with a little heat, Taqueria del Sol is your place. It’s consistently the perfect consistency.. not too runny, not too creamy. And the chips! Thin, light, salty.. also perfection.

Taqueria del Sol | 12 South & Charlotte Avenue

2. Bakersfield Nashville

If that photo doesn’t have you opening up your UberEats or Doordash apps, I don’t know what will. The queso at Bakersfield Nashville is loaded with deliciousness aka chorizo, black beans, and pickled peppers.

Bakersfield Nashville | 201 3rd Avenue South | Downtown

3. Chago’s Cantina

The queso fundido at Chago’s Cantina is loaded with house-made chorizo and totally award-worthy. Sharing not recommended.

Chago’s Cantina | 2015 Belmont Boulveard | Nashville

4. Nectar Urban Cantina

So technically this is not *in* Nashville it might as well be! Nectar Urban Cantina is one of our favorite restaurants in Donelson and their queso is killer. It’s a house-made poblano queso dip that’s fresh, and delicious.

Nectar Urban Cantina | 206 McGavock Pike | Donelson

5. Pancho and Lefty’s Cantina

The queso at Pancho and Lefty’s is a blend of cheeses topped with fire-roasted poblano peppers. Right now you can indulge at their downtown location across from Bridgestone Arena but soon you can treat yourself at their second location opening up in Sylvan Park.

Pancho and Lefty’s Cantina | 104 5th Avenue South | Downtown

6. Saint Anejo

You have not one, not two, not three but four quesos to choose from at Saint Anejo. Their Chiles Verdes is topped with green chiles, the Chorizo de la Casa is topped with spicy chorizo, the Habanero Diablo is topped with spicy salsa and the Shrimp Samba is topped with spicy shrimp. Arriba arriba!

Saint Anejo | 1120 McGavock Street | The Gulch

7. Rosepepper Cantina

Rosepepper, one of our favorites on the east side, serves up a Buffalo White Cheese Dip topped with Chorizo that’s deeeelish. But for many, the showstopper here is their unique flour chips. They’re thicker, softer and totally addicting.

Rosepepper Cantina | 1907 Eastland Avenue | East Nashville

8. San Antonio Taco Co.

When your queso is this good, you don’t need frills. Satco serves up that yellow cheese dip we can’t get enough of! Mmm.

San Antonio Taco Co. | 416 21st Avenue South | Nashville

9. Taco Mamacita

Taco Mamacita’s Chips con Queso is the traditional white cheese dip you dream about. It’s simple and delicious. Why change up a good thing?

Taco Mamacita | 1200 Villa Place | Edgehill

10. Nada

There’s nada much that compares to the loaded queso at Nada Nashville. The smoked gouda, rajas, black bean puree, pico de gallo, and the habanero kreeper salsa pack some major flavor.

Nada | 202 21st Avenue South | Nashville
