Groundbreaking Ceremony: Brentwood Police Department Headquarters
Brentwood Police Department Headquarters
Wed, Sep 11 2:00 pm
The City of Brentwood and the Brentwood Police Department will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the police department’s new headquarters on Sept. 11. The 2 p.m. ceremony will be held at 910 Heritage Way, the future home of the department’s headquarters. The City Commission approved a $15 bond for the construction of the building in early August. According to Brentwood Police Chief Jeff Hughes, the new facilities will accommodate the growing needs for Brentwood and will include designated training rooms, a 6-range firing range, a firearms simulation room, and a community room which will serve as both the courtroom for traffic court and as an additional space for community meetings. The site plan for the $29 million police headquarters was approved by the city in June where 3D renderings and the building layout was reviewed. The building is expected to open in the first quarter of 2021.
