Singer, songwriter and musician, Jeff Hodge, was born and raised in the Muscle Shoals area where he developed a deep appreciation for rootsy, R&B, southern rock and country music. After learning to play guitar at age 14, it wasn’t long before he was playing along with some of his favorite acoustic tunes by the Eagles, America, John Cougar Mellencamp, Alabama, Shenandoah and Garth Brooks.
Jeff began penning his own music in college and has worked hard to develop the craft over the past few years, becoming an active member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and writing as much as possible with other incredibly talented writers and musicians. That dedication has paid off recently as one of his songs, “Want To”, co-written with Madison Olson, Rob Olson and Keith Pulvermacher, finished as runner-up in the 2016 CMT/NSAI Songwriting Contest. Several of his songs have landed in the NSAI quarterly Top 40 and “Ones to Watch” list. He also performed in both the 2015 and 2016 Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival in Nashville as a result of his songs placing in the Top 12 of the NSAI “Best of Spring Training” both years.
