Lauren Daigle: Look Up Child Tour | March 17 & 18
Ryman Auditorium
Sun, Mar 17 7:30 pm

When one listens to Lauren Daigle, the traditional thinking of what Christian music should sound like begins to melt away like ice cream on a sultry day. The heavenly sounds that Daigle presents to the audience don’t quite sound like a traditional Christian song, as she perfectly cloaks her sound in the same pop ethos that secular artists have used to obtain hits. Listen to her music closely, though, and you’ll hear the divine message that Daigle preaches, and it’s a message that many should heed more often. Her latest single, “You Say,” is a perfect example of how Daigle has evolved traditional Christian music, with its booming sonics and powerful voice and lyrics to match that sends a strong message of hope to a world that is in dire need of it. Daigle has been perfecting her style throughout her career, which began in a place where most singers, both Christian and secular, begin -- within the church. While other artists used their training to form the base of a career in secular music, Daigle stuck to Christian music, and it has greatly paid off. To spread her gospel to a greater audience, the 26-year-old will embark on the Look Up Child tour later this summer, hitting cities from coast-to-coast to bring the message of hope and salvation to all those are willing to listen; and listen they should.-By: Kareem Gantt  March 17 & 18 at 7:30 pm.
