Country music has a long-standing tradition of artists who write perform and record colorful and captivating story songs with “3 chords and the truth” on 6 strings and a piece of wood. Then there are those select few who take a different path and create on 88 keys and a bigger piece of wood. Nashville-based Eric Burgett is just that, with his Illinois farm boy upbringing and studying classical piano from an early age. Sure...Billy Joel and Ludwig Van Beethoven have greatly influenced the young artist, but his roots, training, and education run deep and wide. Burgett grew up on the family farm in Latham, IL and had several regular performances on an old upright piano at his parents' tavern, The Korn Krib, as well as during the offerings on Sundays at Latham United Methodist Church. In 2012, Burgett made the move to Nashville to pursue his country music dreams and learning from some of the best writers and artists. In Fall 2017, Eric signed with Bow to Stern Management, headed by Grammy-nominated producer Matt McClure.
